Savings you can’t touch.
That’s the point.

PiggyLock keeps your savings out of sight and out of reach — until the date you choose. No balance staring at you. No 2am raids on your own savings.

How it works

01

Link your savings account

Connect the account you save in through Plaid. PiggyLock gets a read-only view — it can watch deposits, and can never move a cent.

02

Set a lock

Choose an amount and a maturity date. From that moment PiggyLock hides your balance and counts down — out of sight, out of temptation.

03

Let it grow untouched

Keep adding on your own schedule. On maturity day PiggyLock reveals what you saved — not a single day before.

Why locking works

Tie yourself to the mast.

Three thousand years ago, Odysseus wanted to hear the Sirens’ song without wrecking his ship on the rocks. So he had his crew lash him to the mast and row on. He didn’t trust his future self in the moment — he made the decision in advance, while his head was clear.

PiggyLock is your mast. You decide today that this money stays put, and the commitment holds later — when a sale, a craving, or a “just this once” comes calling. The willpower goes into the setup, not into resisting every single day.

Questions

Is PiggyLock a bank? Is my money safe?

No — PiggyLock is not a bank and never holds your money. Your savings stay in your own bank account the whole time, protected by your bank exactly as they are today. We connect through Plaid with read-only access, so we can see your balance and deposits but can never move, withdraw, or freeze a cent.

Can you actually stop me from spending it?

We don’t put a physical lock on your bank — no one but you can do that. What PiggyLock does is hide your balance and hold you to the commitment you set, so the money isn’t staring back at you every time you open your banking app. If you choose to break a lock early, there’s a deliberate 48-hour cool-down first — usually long enough for the impulse to pass.

What if I have a real emergency?

It’s your money, so you can always reach it: request an early unlock and it clears after a 48-hour wait. That pause exists to separate a genuine emergency from a bad Tuesday — not to trap you. Nothing ever leaves your own bank account.

Do I earn interest?

Whatever your own savings account already pays, you keep. PiggyLock never touches your money, so it neither adds nor subtracts interest — we’re simply the commitment layer on top of the account you already have.

What does it cost?

Early access is free. When PiggyLock launches it will be a simple subscription — never fees skimmed from your savings. We’ll tell you the price clearly, well before you’re ever charged.

Why PiggyLock exists

I wasn’t bad with money. I just kept spending it — a little here, a little there, and every “savings account” I opened quietly became a checking account with extra steps.

The problem was never knowing I should save. It was that at 2am, the person deciding was me.

So I built the thing I needed: an app that hides my savings until the date I picked, and says no for me when I can’t. Your money stays in your own bank — PiggyLock just makes it boring to touch until it’s supposed to matter.
