Privacy Policy

Effective July 2026

This is a plain-language summary written to be readable, not a substitute for the final legal document. It will be reviewed by counsel before public launch and may change.

The short version

PiggyLock helps you leave your own savings alone. We keep as little of your information as we can, we never sell it, and we never move your money. Your cash stays in your own bank the entire time.

What we collect

What we never collect

We never see or store your bank login, username, or password. That exchange happens entirely inside Plaid — PiggyLock only ever receives a read-only connection. We cannot move, withdraw, transfer, or freeze money in your accounts.

How your data is protected

The access tokens that let us read your linked account are encrypted on our servers and are never exposed to the app on your phone or to your browser. We keep only what we need to run the product.

We do not sell or share your data

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s advertising. We share data only with the service providers that make PiggyLock work (for example, Plaid for the bank connection and Clerk for sign-in), and only to the extent they need it to provide their service to us.

Plaid’s role

We use Plaid to connect to your bank. Plaid handles your bank credentials and provides us a read-only view of the account you choose. Plaid’s handling of your information is described in the Plaid End User Privacy Policy.

Deleting your data

You’re in control. You can disconnect a linked account at any time, which revokes our read-only access to it. To delete your account and the data associated with it, email support@piggylock.com and we’ll take care of it.
