Terms of Service

Effective July 2026

This is a plain-language summary written to be readable, not a substitute for the final legal document. It will be reviewed by counsel before public launch and may change.

What PiggyLock is

PiggyLock is a savings-commitment tool. It helps you set money aside and leave it alone until a date you choose. It is not a bank, and using it does not create a bank or brokerage relationship.

We never hold your money

PiggyLock takes no custody of your funds. Your money stays in your own bank account at all times. We connect through Plaid with read-only access — we can observe balances and deposits, but we cannot move, withdraw, or transfer money on your behalf.

You move your own money

Because we never touch your funds, you are responsible for making your own deposits and transfers through your bank. A “lock” is a commitment you set and that PiggyLock helps you keep by hiding your balance and tracking your progress — not a hold placed on your bank account.

Early unlock

It’s your money, so you can always get to it. If you request to unlock a commitment before its maturity date, there is a deliberate 48-hour waiting period before the lock is released. This cool-down is a feature, not a penalty.

Pricing

Early access is free. At launch, PiggyLock will be offered as a subscription. We will show pricing clearly and obtain your agreement before any charge. Subscription terms will be detailed here before billing begins.

Limitation of liability

PiggyLock is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the product, including missed savings goals or issues originating with your bank or with third-party providers such as Plaid. Nothing here limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.
